Branford Land Trust’s Grand Finale to Celebrate its 40th Anniversary
The entire town of Branford is invited to attend a festive picnic to be held at Young’s Park from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 13th, with a rain date of Sunday, September 14th.
We’ll celebrate the Land Trust’s 40 years; the donation of Bob’s Woods to the Land Trust by the Vlock, Pritzker and Schwartz family foundation; and as importantly, the people of Branford who have made our town a leader in land preservation. The Land Trust now has acquired over 800 acres of priceless open space and holds conservation easements on another 340 acres in Branford.
Join us for guided walks around both Young’s Pond and Young’s Park, a scavenger hunt, creation of a mural by artists of all ages, educators with live animals, games such as volleyball and kickball, face painting, music and numerous other activities, and lots of good fun and food.
